FDP on Assessment in Higher Education at GITAM

GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, will organize a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Assessment in Higher Education’ on 13–14 February 2026. The intensive, hands-on workshop aims to equip faculty across disciplines with practical skills to design and implement effective, outcome-oriented assessment practices.

Responding to the challenges of AI-driven and hybrid learning environments, the programme emphasizes authentic and future-ready assessment strategies that promote critical thinking, originality, and meaningful student learning. The FDP will feature interactive sessions on rubric development, assessment design, and the use of digital tools.

The programme will be led by Dr.SuparnaMajumdarKar, Head, Department of Sociology and Social Work, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, and Dr.Sweta Mukherjee, In-charge Director, GITAM School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Bengaluru Campus.

By the end of the FDP, participants will gain practical insights into formative, summative, and authentic assessments aligned with course learning outcomes.
