Emergence of ‘South Coast Railway Zone’; The dream of people of North Andhra came true

This is the day a decades-long dream of the people of North Andhra has been fully realized—an emotional moment marking the inauguration of the South Coast Railway Zone.

Today, along the railway tracks in Ichchapuram, Union Minister Shri Kinjarapu. Rammohan Naidu personally inspected the welcome plaque signifying the commencement of the railway zone’s boundary. He stated that this event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the developmental journey of this region. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the Minister planted a sapling.

The Minister expressed his delight, noting that this stands as a testament to the special focus he placed on the issue of the railway zone during his tenure as a Member of Parliament. He remarked that witnessing his objective take concrete shape brings him immense satisfaction.

The Minister extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said that the commencement of operations of the South Coast Railway Zone from Visakhapatnam marks a historic day for the people of North Andhra Pradesh. He said generations of people in the region had waited for the railway zone and expressed happiness that the long-pending aspiration had finally become a reality.

Speaking at Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district, the Union Minister said the new railway zone would contribute significantly to the balanced and integrated development of Andhra Pradesh. He described the occasion as a moment of celebration for the people of North Andhra Pradesh and expressed confidence that the zone would strengthen railway administration, improve connectivity and support economic growth across the region.
