On this occasion, people dressed in traditional attire will offer Eid prayers at Eidgahs and major mosques. They will greet each other and visit relatives and friends, exchanging sweets and warm wishes.

President Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan, And PM Modi Extend Eid-Ul-Fitr Greetings

President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today.

In her message, the President said the festival gives the message of self-control, charity and compassion for the underprivileged. It also conveys the message of love, brotherhood, peace, and mutual harmony.

She said the festival of Eid reminds us that we should strive for the well-being of all individuals. President Murmu added that on the occasion, let us resolve to help those in need, promote unity and harmony in society and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan wished that the auspicious occasion inspire hope, harmony, and compassion and usher in joy and success for all.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi said, may the festival strengthen brotherhood and kindness all around. Mr Modi also wished everyone happiness, good health and prosperity on this joyous occasion.
