On the second day of his visit to SECL, our Chairman, Shri B. Sairam, inspected mining operations at the Gevra and Dipka mega mines, including their Coal Handling Plants (CHPs) and other coal evacuation and transportation infrastructure.

Subsequently, he chaired a review meeting of SECL’s mega projects—Gevra, Dipka, Kusmunda, and Korba—where he discussed their operational and expansion plans, assessed coal supply logistics arrangements, and reviewed key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance operational efficiency.

The Chairman also visited Chhattisgarh East-West Railway Limited (CEWRL), a joint venture between SECL, IRCON, and the Government of Chhattisgarh, established to develop railway infrastructure for sustainable coal evacuation in the state’s coal belt.

He also felicitated the best-performing employees of the mega mines and planted a sapling as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Shri Harish Duhan, CMD, SECL, and senior management of SECL were present on the occasion.
