CJI Justice Surya Kant Lays Foundation Stone for Telangana High Court Zone-II Complex

The Honorable Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant laid the foundation stone for the proposed Telangana High Court Zone-II complex in Rajendranagar, Ranga Reddy district today.

Justice Surya Kant stressed that the judiciary and the executive must align in purpose for the Constitution to truly come alive. He said he had the privilege of laying foundation stones for judicial court complexes in several States, including Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, and now Telangana.

The event was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy; Supreme Court Judges Justice P.S. Narasimha, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice S. Venkatanarayana Bhatti, and Justice Alok Aradhe; the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe; as well as other dignitaries from the judiciary and the legal fraternity.

Honorable Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy announced that the construction of the new Telangana High Court complex is scheduled to be completed by December 2027. He further stated that, alongside the High Court complex, the government is undertaking projects for the construction of 49 courts and residential buildings across various cities and towns within the state.

The Chief Minister recalled that the construction of the new High Court complex was one of the very first decisions taken by his government immediately after assuming office in December 2023; he noted that over 100 acres of land in Rajendranagar have been allocated for this purpose.

While construction work in Zone-I is progressing rapidly, the foundation stone was laid for the residential buildings to be constructed under Zone-II as part of this project, with the goal of completing all works by December 2027.
