Andhra Pradesh: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s wife Anna Konidela inspires Animal lovers coming forward to adopt animals

Inspired by Mrs. Anna Konidela—wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan—animal lovers are coming forward to adopt animals from the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam. It is well known that she recently adopted an Asian elephant and a Royal Bengal tiger from this zoo.

Inspired by this, several animal-loving families in the city are lining up to adopt animals from Indira Gandhi Zoo Park, Visakhapatnam. As part of this initiative, on the 10th of this month, three families adopted one spotted deer, one red-necked wallaby, one meerkat, and one star tortoise for a period of one year, while one leopard was adopted for one month.

On the occasion of the birthday, V NISHKALA NAKSHATRA adopted 1 Spotted deer and 1 Star Tortoise along with 1 Meerkat has adopted by V NISHKALA NAKSHATRA and V Aarick Nihal housed at IGZP for a period of one year under the Animal Adoption Programme of the Zoo, Said Smt. The adopted 1 Spotted deer costs around Rs: 20,000/- and 1 Star Tortoise costs around Rs: 10,000/- along with 1 Meerkat costs around Rs: 20,000/- A total amount of ₹50,000 was contributed towards three animals adoption towards its care and welfare. said Smt. Further another Family native to Uttar Pradesh visited the zoo during the Zoo visit, they impressed to know about the animal adoption and came forward to adopt 1 Red necked Wallaby for one year and Leopard for 1 month. The adopted 1 Red necked Wallaby costs around Rs: 20,000/- and 1 Leopard for 1 month costs around Rs: 12,000/ A total amount of ₹32,000 was contributed towards three animals adoption towards its care and welfare. said Smt. The IGZP Animal Adoption Programme provides structured opportunities for individuals, families, educational institutions, organizations and corporate bodies to actively contribute to animal welfare and wildlife conservation. The programme also offers several privileges to adopters while encouraging greater public participation in conservation initiatives. Donations made towards animal adoption are eligible for exemption under Section 80G(5) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, under the Old Tax Regime, subject to applicable provisions.
