Andhra Pradesh: CM Naidu Calls Official Commencement Of South Coast Railway Zone A Historic Milestone
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the official commencement of the South Coast Railway Zone with headquarters at Visakhapatnam from tomorrow is a historic milestone for the state. In a statement, Mr. Naidu said the launch of the new railway zone fulfils a long-standing aspiration of the people of Andhra Pradesh and marks the realisation of a dream pursued for decades.
He said the South Coast Railway Zone is expected to transform the transportation landscape of North Andhra, create new employment opportunities and boost industrial growth in the region. The Chief Minister added that the development will strengthen logistics infrastructure and support the state’s vision of emerging as a major logistics hub.
Mr. Naidu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for fulfilling Andhra Pradesh’s long-pending demand for a separate railway zone.
