Andhra Pradesh: Amaravati To Become India’s First Quantum Valley, Says Minister Jitendra Singh

Amaravati will soon emerge as India’s first Quantum Valley, said Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences Dr. Jitendra Singh. The Union Minister along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today laid foundation stone for Amaravati Quantum Valley project in state’s capital Amaravati.

Addressing the gathering, the Union Minister said the Centre has launched several mission-mode initiatives, including the National Quantum Mission, to position India as a global leader in advanced technologies. As part of this vision, Amaravati is being developed as a major hub for quantum research and innovation, he added.

Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Union Ministers Shri Jitendra Singh and Shri Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, State Ministers Shri Nara Lokesh, Shri Kandula Durgesh, Shri P. Narayana, and MLA Shri Tenali Shravan Kumar participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Amaravati Quantum Valley buildings.

They were accompanied by Professor Shri Kamakoti, Professor Shri Satyanarayana, Professor Shri Madhumurthy, IT Secretary Shri Katamneni Bhaskar, L&T representative Shri Satish, TCS representative Shri Harik Vin, and IBM representative Shri Amit Singhi.

Subsequently, in line with the objectives of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology and the National Quantum Mission, cash prize checks along with certificates were presented to the winning teams of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon 2025.
