Andhra Pradesh: 3,125 Crore Rupees Credited To 46.85 Lakh Farmers Under PM-Kisan-Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released 3,125 crore rupees as the first instalment of financial assistance under the PM-Kisan-Annadata Sukhibhava scheme for the 2026 Kharif season. The assistance, at the rate of seven thousand rupees per farmer, was credited to the accounts of 46.85 lakh farmers across Andhra Pradesh.
Participating in the programme at Linganguntla Village in Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, today the Chief Minister inspected stalls set up by the Agriculture and Horticulture departments showcasing farmer-producer organisations, women-led processing units, vermicompost production and other agricultural initiatives.
Mr. Naidu also reviewed exhibits related to the National Oilseeds Mission, Oil Palm Mission and waste-to-energy projects. As part of the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra initiative, he virtually laid the foundation stone for waste-to-energy plants in Kadapa and Kurnool districts. Officials informed him that the plants are expected to become operational by December 2026. The Chief Minister later joined farmers in watching Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address under the PM-Kisan-Annadata Sukhibhava programme.
