The Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up the introduction of several key Bills on Monday, including the Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2026, the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026, and the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
As per the List of Business, Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will move for leave to introduce the Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2026.
The proposed legislation seeks to improve the efficiency, independence, transparency and uniformity in the qualifications, appointment, terms and conditions of service of Chairpersons and Members of various tribunals. It also provides for the establishment of a National Tribunals Commission and amendments to related enactments.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy is scheduled to move for leave to introduce the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, which seeks to further amend the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to move for leave to introduce the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026. He will also move for leave to introduce the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which seeks to amend the National Co-operative Development Corporation Act, 1962.
Apart from legislative business, several reports of Standing Committees are also scheduled to be presented in the House.
The Standing Committee on Finance will present reports on issues including the role of the Competition Commission of India in the economy, particularly the digital landscape, the performance review of the National Statistical Commission, and action taken on recommendations relating to the Demands for Grants for 2026-27.
The Standing Committee on Railways will present reports on action taken by the Government concerning freight-related earnings of Indian Railways and the development of Dedicated Freight Corridors, as well as the Demands for Grants for 2026-27 of the Ministry of Railways.
The committee will also lay a statement on further action taken by the Government on recommendations concerning the construction and maintenance of rail tunnels and bridges, including Road Over Bridges and Road Under Bridges.
Reports of the Standing Committees on Housing and Urban Affairs and Social Justice and Empowerment are also listed for presentation in the House.
The Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will present a report on the review of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), with special emphasis on urban drinking water.
The Social Justice and Empowerment Committee will present four reports covering action taken on recommendations relating to the Demands for Grants for 2026-27 of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
