The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert, predicting very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Vidarbha and West Madhya Pradesh today.
The Met Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, over Arunachal Pradesh, Keralam, Mahe and Rajasthan during the next two days. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa till tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Punjab, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall. In Northeast India, the IMD has predicted heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms, gusty winds and lightning, over the next two to three days.
Meanwhile, the national capital is likely to witness heavy rainfall for the next two to three days.
