Telangana Chief Minister Sri Revanth Reddy will attend the ‘Vanamahotsavam’ (Tree Plantation Festival) today wearing a green shirt, just like last year. He is set to inaugurate the event by planting a sapling at the program organized by the State Forest Department at Gurramguda Eco Park in Ranga Reddy district this evening.
As part of the program, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will officially launch ‘Vanamahotsavam’ by planting a *Nagalingam* (Cannonball tree/ *Couroupita guianensis*) sapling. The State Minister for Forest and Environment, Smt. Konda Surekha, will plant a *Neredu* (Jamun/Black Plum) sapling. Public representatives, senior officials, students, and local residents will also participate in planting saplings, thereby contributing to the goal of a ‘Green Telangana’.
