It has come to the attention of the Government that certain news reports and social media posts are claiming that the timelines for booking LPG refills have been revised.
These reports alleged that the revised timelines—as clarified by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas—were set at 45 days for PMUY connections, 25 days for Non-PMUY Single Bottle Connections, and 35 days for Non-PMUY Double Bottle Connections.
It is hereby clarified that no such changes have been made. The existing timelines for booking refills shall continue to remain unchanged:
25 days for urban areas, and 45 days for rural areas, irrespective of the type of connection.
Citizens are advised not to believe or circulate such misinformation, and to refrain from booking LPG refills unnecessarily or out of panic. It is reiterated that adequate stocks of LPG are available in the country, and there is no need for concern.
