The Telangana State Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) Executive Committee meeting was held at Aranya Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by PCCF (HoFF) Dr. C. Suvarna.
After a detailed discussion on the Annual Action Plan for the financial year 2026-27, the committee approved an expenditure of Rs. 367.59 crore. The meeting decided to utilize these funds for programs like afforestation, forest protection, soil-moisture conservation (SMC) works, development of wildlife habitats, voluntary resettlement of villages from core areas of tiger reserves.
Member Secretary Smt. N. Kshitija, PCCFs Vinay Kumar, Ratnakar Jauhari, CCF Admin SJ Asha and other officials participated in the meeting. Officials said that these decisions will help in increasing the forest cover in the state and achieving ecological balance. Representatives from departments like Environment, Finance, Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Agriculture, Revenue, Tribal Welfare and others were present.
