India Set To Become Global Hub For Green Hydrogen Innovation: Union Minister Of State Shripad Yesso Naik
Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik has exuded confidence that India is poised to emerge as a Global hub for Green Hydrogen Innovation.
The Minister said this while addressing the valedictory session of the two-day first Green Hydrogen R&D Conference in New Delhi yesterday. Highlighting the significance of green hydrogen, Mr Naik said that the fuel promises to decarbonise the hardest-to-abate sectors, to open new trade frontiers, and create a cleaner and secure future.
Reiterating that India has embarked on a journey to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2070, Mr Naik said, through its National Green Hydrogen Mission, India will emerge as a global hub for innovation, manufacturing and deployment in hydrogen technologies.
