Uttarakhand: Pilgrimage To Gangotri Dham Resumes

In Uttarakhand, it’s been 35 days since the devastating rains and the Dharali disaster hit Uttarkashi. The pilgrimage to Gangotri Dham has officially resumed after the disaster days.

With the relentless efforts of the administration and the Border Roads Organisation, damaged stretches of the Gangotri National Highway have been repaired and reopened.

At present, the yatra is being conducted through a special shuttle service to ensure safety and smooth movement. As of last evening, over a hundred devotees offered special prayers and had darshan of Maa Ganga at the sacred shrine.
