Singareni PRO conferred with Doctorate in Journalism: Received from Governor Jishnu Dev Varma

CMD Shri N. Balram extends congratulations

Singareni Bhavan, July 17: Shri Sriramula Srikanth, working as Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Singareni Hyderabad Office, has been awarded a doctorate by Telangana University for his submitted research study. On Wednesday, during the second convocation held at Telangana University, Nizamabad, Shri Sriramula Srikanth received his Doctorate certificate from the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Chancellor of the University, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma.

He was awarded the doctorate for his research study titled “Role of Social Media in Social and Political Movements: A Case Study on the Telangana Movement.”

In his submitted research paper, Shri Srikanth explained how, during the widespread Telangana movement, the youth stood at the forefront, and how social media significantly aided in taking the aspirations of the movement to the masses and facilitating the expression of people’s sentiments. He highlighted the pivotal role social media played in the realization of the Telangana state.

So far, only a very few employees of Singareni have achieved a PhD. In this context, CMD & Chairman Shri N. Balram extended his congratulations to Shri Srikanth for earning a PhD while diligently performing his official responsibilities. He stated that this achievement will inspire those who wish to pursue higher education while fulfilling their professional duties. He also expressed hope that Shri Srikanth’s research experience will bring further recognition to the Public Relations Department of Singareni.

Additionally, ED (Coal Movement) Shri S.D.M. Subhani, GM (Marketing) Shri T. Srinivas, and officers and employees of Singareni Bhavan extended their congratulations to Shri Srikanth on this occasion.
