IND Vs ENG 1st Test: Bumrah finishes with a-fifer; England all out for 465 at tea on Day 3
Team India front-line bowler Jasprit Bumrah achieved a five-wicket haul, and England was bowled out for 465 at tea on the third day of the first Test against India, leading to a six-run first-innings lead for India. The match is being played at Headingly in Leeds. Indian cricketers celebrating after Jasprit Bumrah strikes with a-fifer.
It’s tea as well with that wicket. This is now effectively an ODI game after the first innings has ended almost equally. Bumrah again the star for India despite all the drops off his bowling, finishing with a fifer.
Prasidh took a three-fer and Siraj the remaining two but both those two were disappointing. They leaked runs and that’s why England are just 6 behind. Brook who was caught off a no-ball on 0 went on to make 99 and made sure India paid for that error. Not to mention he was dropped twice.
Useful contributions from Jamie Smith, Woakes and Carse and along with Brook have pushed England very close to India’s total. The conditions are cloudy and swinging and it will be tough for the Indian batters when they come out. Back for the last session in 15 minutes…
