Singareni: CMD N. Balaram unveils the golden jubilee logo of Women’s College (Kothagudem)
On the occasion of the completion of 50 years of Singareni Educational Society’s first women’s college in Kothagudem this year, Singareni CMD Shri N. Balaram virtually unveiled the Golden Jubilee Logo designed by Singareni Educational Society from Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Chairman Shri N. Balaram expressed his best wishes for the further growth of this college, which has been dedicated to women’s education for five decades, and for it to become the best college in the state. Director (Operations) Shri L.V. Suryanarayana, Director (P.P and Pa) K. Venkateswarlu, C.P.P. Shri A. Manohar, Secretary of Singareni Educational Institutions from Kothagudem, Sri Gunda Srinivas and others participated in the program.
In 1975, Singareni Sanstha gave high priority to women’s education and started Singareni Women’s College in Kothagudem, a completely remote and tribal area. In this college, not only the children of Singareni workers and officials, but also those from nearby towns and villages settled down and many of them studied in this college as doctors, professors and employees. Since then, this college has grown step by step and has also grown into a degree college and a PG college.
Initially affiliated to Osmania University, this college is now an affiliated college of Kakatiya University. About 2000 students are studying in this college. There are excellent facilities like hostel accommodation, sports grounds, good laboratories and auditorium here. This college has been standing at the top of the Kakatiya University level in terms of education and sports. On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee year, various programs will be organized throughout the year.
