Hyderabad: Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) successfully organize 2-day national-level startup summit

Institute of Public Enterprise, one of the premium B-School in Hyderabad, commenced the 11th edition of Startupedia, a prestigious 2-day national-level startup summit, on March 20, 2025, marking a decade and more of entrepreneurial excellence with 42 participating teams this year. The event observed our esteemed dignitaries including the Director of the college, Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy, the Dean, Prof. V. Srikanth, the Chief guest, Shir N. S. Rao, Group CFO, Ramky Group, and E- Cell Head, Prarthana Kumar which set a vibrant tone for the event.

Director Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy emphasized the importance of 3Ps – Passion, Perseverance and Patience on the journey of Entrepreneurship for all the individuals and Profit, People and Planet for all budding entrepreneurs and for those who aspire to become an entrepreneur. Planet is an area of attention as sustainability is the new slogan for our future generation to be able to see the beauty our nature beholds.

Dean Prof. V. Srikanth highlighted the difficulties faced by Indians after independence due to rule and regulations and how the startups emerged after the abolishment of the same. He motivated this generation to focus on Entrepreneurship as India holds a lot of potential and is tech savvy.

Dr. Prarthana Kumar, the founder of Startupedia, shared her insights on the event’s journey and its impact on the startup ecosystem. This event aims at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial skills, connect with mentors, investors and build the spirit of “STUDENTPRENEURSHIP” which give financial independence, practical learning, boost career with skills required in the market and leverage Startupedia ecosystem.

Chief guest Shri S.N. Rao delivered a thought-provoking address. He quoted, “Achaa padhlo, government nuakri dekhlo” was the minded set in early 1900s but now we are in different era where we are experimenting with knowledge and can focus on upskillement and dreams. He compared an entrepreneur to a creator, innovator and disrupter of old systems just like Bramha, Vishnu & Mahesh.

Following the inauguration, the event featured a series of engaging discussions and panels. The panel discussion on “The Global Investment Race: Which Markets are Attracting the Most Capital” brought together byMr. Rahul Joshi, VP, Gruhas Proptech, Mr. Viiveck Verma, Impact Strategist, TalentFarm.ai, Mr. Syed Younus Kabir, Founder, Barakah Finserve, Mr. Sridhar Seshadri, CEO & Co-Founder, Mintmore Inc. and Moderator, Prof. Y Ramakrishna, Professor, IPE.

Another interactive discussion focused on Topic – “AI And the Future of Work: How Indian Startups Are Redefining Jobs and Skills”by Mr. Abhinav Guptha, Associate VP – Innovation, Broadridge

The day also included a panel discussion on“Circular Economy: Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Redesign” featuring Ms. Anita Hariharan, Co-Founder, Club Artizen, Mr. Sridhar Seshadri, CEO & Co-Founder, Mintmore Inc., Mr. Gunaranjan Turaga, MD, Green Sense Sustainability Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Abdul Mujeeb Shaik, Founder, Allika, Mr. Subbarao N.V., Entrepreneur in Residence, Private Equity Group,Prof. A Sridhar Raj, Professor, IPE moderated the discussion.

The panel discussion was followed by interactive discussion on the topic “Startup Shopping Revolution: How Indian Startups Are Changing the Way We Shop” by Mr. Madhu Vadlamani, Practice Manager, Miracle Software Systems, Inc.

On the 2nd day of Startupedia 25, 21st March 2025, the focus will shift to presenting business ideas and startup concepts from business schools across the country. This segment will provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and receive feedback from industry experts and mentors.

The day will kick off with a series of presentations where professional and students will present their business ideas, highlighting the feasibility, innovation, and potential impact of their ventures. Following the presentations, participants will engage in mentorship sessions where they will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance and advice from experienced professionals.

The day will also feature business discussions and panel sessions on various entrepreneurial topics, providing a platform for students to learn from industry experts and thought leaders. Topics will include funding strategies, market research, scaling up, and sustainability.

Overall, the second day of Startupedia 25 will be filled with engaging and informative sessions that will provide students with valuable knowledge, insights, and networking opportunities. The event will serve as a catalyst for the next generation of entrepreneurs, empowering them to turn their ideas into successful ventures and contribute to the growth and development of the startup ecosystem in the country.
