Hyderabad: GITAM NCC Bids Farewell to the 2022-2025 Batch with Heartfelt Celebrations

GITAM Deemed to be University’s National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit organized a memorable farewell event for the outgoing NCC ‘C’ certificate cadets. The juniors orchestrated this heartfelt occasion to celebrate the dedication and achievements of their seniors.

The farewell featured vibrant cultural performances, emotional speeches, and a nostalgic video montage capturing cherished memories. The video conveyed a powerful message: “Farewells are not goodbyes, but reminders of the incredible journey you’ve had. May success follow you always, and may your legacy continue to inspire us.”

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing wisdom and knowledge. The day was a perfect blend of reflection and celebration, combining heartfelt speeches with energetic performances such as dances, songs, and video screenings. Each act highlighted the cadets’ unwavering dedication, discipline, and talent cultivated throughout their NCC journey.

This farewell marked a milestone for GITAM as it was the first-ever event of its kind dedicated to NCC ‘C’ certificate cadets. As they prepared to embark on their future endeavors, the outgoing cadets were honored with mementos acknowledging their remarkable contributions.

Juniors expressed their gratitude, stating, “Today is not just a farewell; it is a tribute to your hard work, achievements, and the invaluable lessons you have passed down. From representing us at prestigious events like the Republic Day Camp (RDC), Youth Exchange Program (YLP), IDSS Camp, Indian Military Academy (IMA), and SSB training, you have shown us that success is achievable through dedication and discipline. Your legacy will continue to inspire us.”

In response, the outgoing cadets shared their reflections: “This farewell is a testament to our commitment, determination, and sacrifices. NCC has been a transformative journey that pushed us beyond our comfort zones, teaching us responsibility, leadership, and resilience. It is more than just camps and medals—it instills values of discipline, perseverance, and respect. Embrace these values, trust yourself, and never hesitate to take charge.”

The event concluded with an atmosphere of gratitude and pride as cadets looked forward to future achievements, inspired by the remarkable journey of their seniors.
