The ‘Patanjali Mega Food and Herbal Park’ will be inaugurated this morning by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Special Economic Zone in the MIHAN area of Nagpur.

According to Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurved, the facility will be Asia’s largest orange processing plant, set up by Patanjali. The plant will have the capacity to process 800 tonnes of citrus fruits per day, including various grades cultivated in the Vidarbha region.

In addition to processing citrus fruits for orange juice, the facility will also focus on by-products such as cosmetics made from orange peels and orange burfi made from orange pulp. The Patanjali Group expects farmers in Vidarbha to benefit significantly from this mega herbal and food park, which will also produce food products such as ketchup, pickles, and fruit jam.
