GITAM Congratulates Ravi Hanumanthu on Ph.D. Achievement in Technology

GITAM Deemed-to-be University is thrilled to announce that Ravi Hanumanthu has been awarded with Ph.D. in Technology for his outstanding thesis titled “Optimization of Engine Behaviour and Exergy Analysis of RCCI Engine Fuelled with Ternary Fuel at Varying Operating Parameters.” This significant academic milestone was achieved under the esteemed guidance of Prof. N. Seetharamaiah, Research Supervisor and Associate Director at School of Technology, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, GITAM, Hyderabad.

Ravi’s research study concludes that RCCI engines, utilizing ternary fuel blends and optimized injection parameters along with an advanced combustion chamber design, present a sustainable approach to enhancing engine efficiency and minimizing emissions. This makes them a viable and promising alternative to conventional diesel engines.

The achievement was congratulated by Prof. D.S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor of GITAM, Hyderabad, along with DVVSR Varma, Resident Director; Prof. V.R.Sastry, Director, School of Technology, Prof. P. Srinivas, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and fellow faculty members.
