Maha Kumbh: Over 1.08 Crore Devotees Take Holy Dip At Triveni Sangam
Over one crore eight lakh devotees Yesterday took the holy dip till 4 pm this evening at the Triveni Sangam of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Millions of devotees from worldwide continue to attend the grand festival every day. The official reports that so far 51 crore 11 lakh devotees have taken the holy in the Sangam including many eminent personalities.
Saints, devotees, and pilgrims from all walks of life are coming to the Mahakumbh. In this trend, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took a holy dip along with his cabinet ministers and other MLAs. Talking to the media, Mr Sawant said that the Goa government has made arrangements for people from the state to come at Prayagraj and attend the Maha Kumbh.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. Mr Birla said that the Maha Kumbh is a congregation of India’s spirituality, faith, and culture. He added that he prayed for the well-being of all the Indians during his dip.
Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Singh Puri, Annpurna Devi and Chirag Paswan were also present at the Sangam to take a dip and offer their prayers. During the occasion, Mr Goyal said that it is truly an emotional moment and a blessing to visit Maha Kumbh. He added that this is the perfect example of the collective spirit of India
Meanwhile, Mr Puri credited the Uttar Pradesh government for the successful organisation of the mega event and added that the arrangements are being done on such a grand scale due to a double-engine government.
Amongst other dignitaries, Senior NCP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel, and Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Shukla were also present at the Mahakumbh.
