GITAM Deemed to be University, has signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Sharan Chemical Technology (India & China), Innatura Scientific, VijayRekha Life Sciences, and RIKI Global Pvt. Ltd. This landmark agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held at GITAM, Hyderabad, marking a significant step towards fostering advanced research and innovation in the fields of pharmaceuticals and chemical sciences.
This collaboration aims to create new opportunities for pioneering research in pharmaceutical sciences, with a particular focus on drug discovery, novel formulation development, and chemical innovation. Under this partnership, GITAM will provide infrastructural support, access to its library, and facilitate workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enrich knowledge exchange. Additionally, GITAM will offer services such as testing, analysis, and technical consultation to support the research endeavors of its industry partners.
Both the academic and industry parties have committed to working together on drug discovery and development projects, as well as research and development of novel formulations with distinct pharmaceutical properties. They will jointly submit research proposals to various funding agencies to secure extramural funding, further strengthening research initiatives. This collaboration is set to accelerate innovation through shared expertise, technical resource exchange, and hands-on training, fostering groundbreaking advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.
The signing ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Prof. Jagattaran Das, Dean of Pharmacy at GSP, and Prof. G. Shiva Kumar, Principal of GSP. Dr. Gatadi Srikanth coordinated this event. Dr. Vijaykumar Talluri, Dr. Sanjay Mehta, Dr. Sharanabasappa, Dr. Nandan Kumar, and other distinguished delegates represented the industry partners.
