Squash: India’s Anahat Reaches British Junior Open Finals

In Squash, India’s Anahat Singh has stormed into the finals of the British Junior Open at Birmingham in England. She defeated Ruqayya Salem of Egypt 3-1 in the Semi-Finals of the Girl’s Under 17 singles title yesterday.

 

Anahat will next face Egypt’s Malika El Karaksy in the ultimate showdown. Malika El Karaksy defeated Helen Tang of Hong Kong 3-1 in the semifinals.

 

The British Junior Open is considered the second most prestigious junior open squash championship after the World Junior Squash Championships. It is one of the five Tier 2 events in the WSF World Junior Squash Circuit.
