GITAM Welcomes Emory University Delegates in a Pioneering Interactive Session for Students
GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad Campus, had the honor of hosting an interactive session with esteemed delegates from Emory University, USA, on December 26, 2024. This enlightening event was tailored for students from the School of Pharmacy and the School of Sciences, offering them a unique glimpse into global academic and professional opportunities.
The delegation from Emory University was headed by Dr. Nikhil Singla, PhD, Country Director of Emory India Research and Education Innovation LLP. Dr. Singla shared invaluable insights into the realms of public health and research, motivating students to broaden their horizons and consider international pathways in their academic and professional journeys.
Dr. Jagattaaran Das, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, emphasized the potential for collaborative endeavors between GITAM and Emory University. He expressed enthusiasm for establishing joint research initiatives and academic programs that would enhance educational experiences and drive innovation in both institutions.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Ivone Foisy, Executive Director (Admns), Emory University, Dr. K. Shivakumar, Principal of the School of Pharmacy, and Dr. M. Reza, In-Charge Principal of the School of Sciences. Also in attendance were Dr. Gousia Begum, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and faculty members Dr. Durga Prasad and Dr. Pavan Kumar from the School of Pharmacy, who actively engaged with the delegates and contributed to the fruitful discussions.
