Singareni: 2.7 lakh tonnes of coal should be produced and transported daily: CMD N. Balaram orders
Singareni CMD Shri N. Balaram has called for giving high priority to quality along with achieving production goals and achieving 2.7 lakh tonnes of coal production and transportation per day by March 31.
On Saturday, he held a review of production and quality with the general managers of all areas through video conference from Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad. He commended the mines and areas that are achieving production as per the targets and said that the areas that are lagging behind now need to revive.
Along with achieving the targets, he said that high priority should be given to quality and safety. He warned that if the quality decreases, there is a risk of losing the trust of the consumers. He ordered everyone from the top to the bottom in the area to pay special attention to this.
There are only 108 days left for the end of this financial year, and they should make full use of this time and transport coal at the same rate as at least 2.7 lakh tonnes of coal per day.
He suggested that coal transport should be carried out without any hindrance, and coal should be delivered to the consumers on time by consulting the railway authorities from time to time. He informed that in the backdrop of the gradual increase in electricity consumption, it is our responsibility to provide sufficient coal to the thermal power plants in the state so that there is no shortage of coal.
Along with the CMD, the directors of the company, Shri D. Satyanarayana Rao, Shri G. Venkateswar Reddy, Hyderabad General Manager Coordination Shri S.D.M. Subhani, General Manager Marketing Shri Ravi Prasad, and General Managers of all areas participated.
