Konkan Ratna On Expedition To Create Awareness On Samudri Swachhta

An Open Sea Sailing Expedition named ‘Konkan Ratna’ was flagged off from UltraTech Jetty, Ratnagiri, yesterday. According to an official, the expedition aims to create awareness on ‘Samudri Swachhta, Taskari, and Suraksha’.

The campaign, with the tagline “Hamara Samunder – Hamari Shaan,” will spread awareness of maritime environment conservation through poems, lectures, and plays that will be performed at villages, public places, and schools along the coastal route.

A team comprising 60 cadets, including 31 boys and 29 girls from various NCC units of Maharashtra, has been specifically trained to conduct this expedition.
