IPE Successfully organised interaction session with Mr. Varadharaju Janardhanan Vice President (HR) Flipkart

The Institute of Public Enterprise has organised an interaction session with Shri Varadharaju Janardhanan, Vice President (HR), Flipkart on 25th October, 2024 at its Shamirpet Campus.

Prof S Sreenivasa Murthy, Director, IPE in his welcome address stated that Shri Varadharaju also known as Varadha played a significant role in the company’s growth and innovation strategies and authored two popular books on Flipkart success story.

Shri Varadharaju Janardhanan in his address to the first-year PGP students elaborated on his first book “A Billion Dreams: Decoding Flipkart’s Growth Story”.  In his talk he provided insights into the e-commerce landscape in India and examined vision and leadership that shaped Flipkart’s growth. Prof V Srikanth, Dean (Academics) proposed vote of thanks.

Shri Varadharaju in his address to the second-year PGP students in the afternoon elaborated on his second book “Be Unique the Flipkart Way” that is focused on the innovative practices and strategies that contributed to Flipkart’s success in the competitive landscape.  He provided insights into building a strong organizational culture, fostering creativity, and adapting to market demands.

Shri Varadharaju in his interaction with the faculty at 4 p.m talked about the rationale behind the two books he has authored and the scope for collaborative academic research with industry.  He said collaborations can bridge the gap between theory and practice, ultimately benefiting all parties involved.

This full day interaction provided students and faculty with valuable insights into Flipkart’s success saga and the start-up echo system.
