Paris Olympics: Lakshya Sen To Face Chou Tien Chen In Men’s Singles Quaterfinals Badminton
At Paris Olympics, India’s star shuttler Lakshya Sen will be vying for semi-finals spot when he faces Chinese Taipei Chou Tien Chen in the quarter-final match of Men’s Singles Badminton this evening. Sen is currently the only surviving Indian badminton player at the Olympics.
On the other hand, two-time Bronze medalist at this Olympics, Manu Bhaker, will begin her campaign in the women’s 25m pistol shooting event qualification round in the afternoon.
In Men’s Hockey, the Team India, who have already qualified for the quarterfinals, will take on Australia in pool match at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium this evening at 04:45 PM.
In Judo, India’s Tulika Maan will take on Cuba’s Idalys Ortiz in the women’s plus 78 kilo grams round of 32 match at 2:12 PM. All matches in the women’s plus 78 kilograms category, including the final, will be held today.
In Archery Mixed Team event, Indian duo of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat will be in action against Indonesia’s Diananda Choirunisa and Arif Pangestu in the round of 16 at 01:00 PM.
In Athletics, Parul Chaudhary will take on stacked fields in the women’s 5000 meters qualification rounds at 09:40 PM while Tajinderpal Singh Toor will be competing in men’s shot put qualifying round at 11:40 PM.
Indian golfers Gaganjeet Bhullar and Shubhankar Sharma and sailors Nethra Kumanan and Vishnu Saravanan will also be in action in their respective competitions.
