Opposition Party Criticise Union Budget
Congress has criticized the Budget saying that it is an underwhelming Budget and it does not address income disparity. Talking to media outside Parliament, party MP Shashi Tharoor said that there is also no mention of MGNREGA in the Budget. Mr Tharoor, however, welcomed the abolition of angel tax in the Budget.
Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav also criticized the Union Budget saying it fails to address the issues of inflation and unemployment. He alleged that the Budget has nothing concrete for farmers. He added that uthill the farmers’ issues are resolved and employment is ensured for the youth, the people will not be benefitted.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi questioned the Union Budget saying it has nothing concrete for Maharashtra. She also said the Budget has nothing much for farmers and their issues including MSP and loans have not been addressed. DMK leader T R Baalu AND TMC Kalyan Banerjee also criticized the Budget.
