Amarnath Yatra Surpasses 4 Lakh Pilgrims This Year, Set To Break Last Year’s Record With Month Remaining
More than 4 lakh pilgrims have undertaken the Amarnath Yatra so far this year, surpassing last year’s figures with nearly a month still to go for before the pilgrimage ends. Yesterday, over 11,700 pilgrims paid obeisance at the cave shrine, bringing the total number of pilgrims since the yatra started, to 4,07,734.
Meanwhile, the Chhari Mubarak was taken to Pahalgam on Sunday from its abode at the Dashnami Akhara building by Mahant Deependra Giri for various rituals to mark Ashadh Purnima, the start of the religious aspects of the annual pilgrimage.
Another Batch Left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Base Camp For Kashmir Valley To Perform Pilgrimage To Amarnath Cave Shrine
Another batch of 2,484 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu for the Kashmir valley to perform pilgrimage to Amarnath Cave Shrine. The pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 91 vehicles early this morning. Of these 770 pilgrims left for Baltal base camp and 1714 for Pahalgam base camp.
