Amarnath Yatra: Over 13,000 Pilgrims Paid Obeisance To Shri Amarnath Ji

20th Batch Of  3740 Pilgrims Towards Baltal And Pahalgam Base Camp to Holy Cave

In the Kashmir Valley, over 13,000 pilgrims paid obeisance of Ice Shivlingam in the Himalayan cave of Shri Amarnath Ji situated at an altitude of 3888 meters in South Kashmir’s Lidder Valley by last evening from twin tracks of Baltal and Chandanwari as well as through special choppers.

Officials said that the pilgrims who paid obeisance included 8500 males, 3236 females, 80 Sadhus, and three others besides 1395 service providers and security personnel. With this,  the total number of yatris visiting the holy cave in the last 18 days since the 52-day pilgrimage started on June 29 this year has touched 3,38,143. Out of them, the majority of pilgrims have returned to their respective home states.

Meanwhile, the fresh 20th batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris comprising 3740 pilgrims have left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas at Jammu in the wee hours today towards the Kashmir Valley in a cavalcade of 127 vehicles amid tight security cover.

The Yatris were seen quite enthusiastic and chanting Shiv Bhajans, Har Har Mahadev, Bum Bum Bole and other Vedic Hymns quite eager to perform the holy pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji in south Kashmir.
