Hyderabad: DRDO Research Project to GITAM

GITAM Deemed-to-be University is excited to announce that Dr. K.Durga Bhaskar Yamajala, Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, GITAM School of Science, Hyderabad, has been awarded a prestigious research project by the Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management (DFTM) Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

The project, titled “Development of a synthetic route of Oxyrane containing N-methyl poly-5-vinyl Tetrazole energetic binder,” has a duration of 30 months and has been granted a total of Rs. 42.90 lakhs under DRDO Industry Academia – Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE), University of Hyderabad. Dr. Durga Bhaskar will serve as this project’s Principal Investigator (PI).

As part of the project implementation, Dr. Durga Bhaskar is currently seeking a Project Associate (PA) with a master’s degree in M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) with first class from a recognized university, preferably with one year of experience. The selected PA will receive a fellowship of Rs.31,000/- + HRA per month.
