IMD Predicts Isolated Rainfall Across Multiple Regions, Heatwave To Continue In Jammu, Punjab & West Rajasthan

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated rainfall over Saurashtra, Kutch, and West Madhya Pradesh for today and tomorrow. The IMD said that isolated rainfall is also likely over Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, North Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha, West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh until Friday, and in the Gujarat region until 29th June.

The weather agency also forecast light to moderate rainfall over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh during the next 5 days. Fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is also expected by the IMD over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal during the same period.

However, the IMD has forecast that heatwave conditions will continue in isolated pockets of Jammu Division, Punjab, and West Rajasthan until tomorrow and abate thereafter. Meanwhile, yesterday, Delhi witnessed a maximum temperature of 39.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 28.6 degrees Celsius with light rain in some parts of the city, while heavy rainfall overnight caused waterlogging in many places in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh.
