Char Dham Yatra: More than 20 lakh devotees visited in first month
This year, Uttarakhand is seeing great enthusiasm from devotees for the Char Dham Yatra. The portals of the Kedar Nath Dham with Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham were opened on May 10 followed by Badrinath Dham on May 12 and Hemkund Sahib on May 25.
Since then more than 20 lakh devotees have visited the four Dhams in just one month. More than 7 lakh 85 thousand pilgrims offered prayers to Baba Kedar in Kedarnath alone.
On the other hand, the number of pilgrims visiting Badrinath Dham has crossed the 5 lakh mark. Also, more than 7 lakh 20 thousand pilgrims have offered prayers in Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham of Uttarkashi district.
Apart from this, more than 55 thousand devotees visited Hemkund Sahib, the famous Sikh Dham located in Chamoli district.
