Uttarakhand: Four Trekkers Dead In Uttarkashi, SDRF Dispatches Rescue Team

In Uttarakhand, four trekkers of the 22-member team died after getting lost due to adverse weather conditions during their Sahastratal trek in Uttarkashi district last night.

Ten people have been rescued, with efforts ongoing to save others. The State Disaster Response Force and the Air Force have been conducting search and rescue operations since early morning today.

District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht said, the rescue operation is on.

The trek team, with members from Karnataka, Maharashtra, and local guides, had departed for Sahastratal on May 29th.
