Hyderabad: Mudita Celebrated at GITAM
Mudita 2.0, the celebration of happiness and well-being, was joyously observed by the Directorate of Hospitality at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on May 9, 2024. This event served as a platform to commemorate achievements, foster team building and morale, promote networking and social interaction, and provide motivation, inspiration, learning, and development opportunities. It also aimed at promoting organizational culture, strengthening engagement, and recognizing outstanding contributions through awards and entertainment.
The Directorate of Hospitality, along with supporting teams including AV, Security, CATS, and Projects, actively participated in organizing and executing the festivities. Employees were acknowledged and honored in various categories with mementos and appreciation certificates. Special recognition was given to individuals for their outstanding performance, long service, and unsung heroism, as well as for being the best of the year.
Swami Sri Raghavendra Prabhu, Programme Director for Aikya Vidya of the Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding to the significance of the event. Prof. D.S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Hyderabad, Dr. Balkumar Gurunath Marthi, Dean – Campus Life, and Hemant Bagga, Director of Hospitality, were among the esteemed guests of honor.
The celebration featured cultural performances including dance, singing, drama, and skits presented by various teams, all of which were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. An annual report encapsulating the highlights and achievements of the financial year 2023-24 was also presented in the form of a video.
Ambika Philip, Deputy Director of Hospitality, extended gratitude to all participants and contributors, concluding the event on a note of appreciation and camaraderie.
