GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, witnessed a collaborative effort between the School of Pharmacy and the School of Sciences, as they jointly organized an expert talk at the seminar hall on April 24, 2024.
The distinguished speaker, Prof. Johannes W. Hell from the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of California, Davis, USA, delivered a talk on ‘Adrenergic Regulation of the L-type Ca Channel CaV1.2 in Cognitive Flexibility and Attention’. Prof. Hell’s vast experience includes training 16 pre- and postdoctoral fellows who have obtained faculty positions. His work has been highly cited, with over 15,600 citations and an impressive h-index of 62.
Additionally, Dr. Mary C. Horne from the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of California, Davis, CA, USA, delivered a talk on ‘The Potential Role of the Atypical Cyclin and β-catenin Interacting Protein, Cyclin G2, in Neuronal Maturation’.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by Prof. G. Shiva Kumar, the Principal of the School of Pharmacy, who also felicitated the esteemed guests. Dr. Dhrubajyoti Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology, School of Science, expressed gratitude with a vote of thanks, followed by a group photo capturing the memorable occasion.
