President, PM Urge Voters To Come Out In Large Number To Exercise Their Franchise

As Lok Sabha elections begin today President Droupadi Murmu has urged citizens to vote. Stressing the importance of participation in shaping the future of the country, she appealed to all, especially first-time voters, to seize this moment of empowerment. President Murmu said India is not just the largest democracy but the mother of democracy.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged people to exercise their franchise in record numbers in the Lok Sabha polls beginning today. In a social media post, Mr Modi called upon the young and first time voters to vote in large numbers. He said, after all, every vote counts and every voice matters.
