Chhattisgarh: 6 maoists, 2 female rebels killed in gun battle with security forces in tribal Bastar Division
In Chhattisgarh, six Maoists, including two female rebels, were killed in a gun battle with security forces in the tribal Bastar division today. A joint team of CRPF, CoBRA battalion and District Reserve Guard was on a search operation in the jungles of Basaguda area of Bijapur district.
An encounter took place near Chipurbhatti. Six Maoists killed in the exchange of fire. Police officials confirmed the incident. Bodies of 6 Maoists, along with a large number of arms and ammunition recovered from the spot. Search operation in the area is going on.
