Congress announces 2nd list of 43 candidates for Lok Sabha elections

The Congress announced the second list of its 43 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The list includes the names of 12 candidates from Assam, 10 each for Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, 7 from Gujarat, three from Uttarakhand and one for Daman and Diu.

Addressing media in New Delhi, Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal said that Gaurav Gogoi will be contesting from the Jorhat Parliamentary Constituency in Assam and sitting MP Nakul Nath, the son of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath will contest from Chhindwara.

Vaibhav Gehlot who is the son of former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, will fight from Jalore seat. Rahul Kaswan will contest from Churu Lok Sabha seat in Rajasthan, Pradeep Tamta from Almora in Uttarakhand and Lalitbhai Vasoya will be the party candidate from Porbandar seat in Gujarat.
