Singareni’s contribution to women’s development: General Manager Marketing G. Devender

General Manager Marketing Mr. G. Devender stated that the country will develop further if due priority is given to women who are half of the population, Singareni Colliery Company is undertaking many programs for the economic development and social development of women.

He was speaking at the Women’s Day celebration held at Singareni Bhawan, Hyderabad on Monday afternoon. He said that for the economic self-reliance of women in Singareni, many vocational trainings have been provided free of charge by Singareni Seva Samiti for the last 20 years, about 15 thousand people have received these trainings and many have taken the path of self-employment.

It is stated that many policemen from Singareni region got police jobs in the background of special training for women in police recruitment. It was explained that every year International Women’s Day is celebrated in 12 areas across Singareni. It was also explained that women have secured a large number of jobs in competitive examinations conducted by Singareni.

Additional General Manager Mr. N.V. Rajasekhar Rao explained about the importance of Women’s Day and the measures taken for the upliftment of women in Singareni. Singareni employee public poet Sri Jayaraj on this occasion enthusiastically described Mahila Shakti with songs. Mrs. Sharmila Mozes and Mrs. Lakshmi Priya spoke on the role of women in community development.

In celebration of Women’s Day, competitions were organized for the women working in Hyderabad in various sports and cultural fields and Seva leader Mrs. Swarupa Devender presented prizes on the occasion. Under the chairmanship of Administrative Manager Mr. N. Bhaskar, the program was organized in a very enthusiastic atmosphere.
