PM Modi participates in ‘Drone Didis’ programme in Delhi; Expresses confidence that women power can lead technological revolution
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that any country can move forward only by enhancing the dignity of women’s power and creating new opportunities for them. Mr. Modi said this while addressing the Sashakt Nari – Viksit Bharat programme in New Delhi on Monday. During the programme, the Prime Minister handed over drones to one thousand Namo Drone Didis. Mr Modi said, the entire nation is proud of the accomplishments of India’s Nari Shakti in various spheres. He said, over one crore women have become Lakhpati Didis due to various schemes of the government.
Prime Minister Modi said that after coming to power in 2014, several schemes were made for women and launched successfully. He expressed confidence that women’s power in the country can lead the technological revolution of 21st-century India. Prime Minister said, that in the coming years, drone technology is going to expand in the country and innumerable avenues are going to open up for the Namo Drone Didis in the country. Mr Modi said, Self Help Groups in India have created a new history in the area of women empowerment.
Prime Minister Modi asked the Self Help Groups to come forward in the implementation of PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He said, these groups have contributed significantly to the development of rural infrastructure and the overall upliftment of rural communities. Mr. Modi said wherever members of Self Help Group take initiative, they will be given priority in the scheme. Prime Minister Modi said that over the past ten years, the government has not only expanded self-help groups but also facilitated the opening of bank accounts for 98 per cent of these groups.
The assistance to such groups has been increased to 20 lakh rupees and more than eight lakh crore rupees have been deposited to the accounts of such groups. The Prime Minister said that due to the push for modern infrastructure, the income of these Self Help Groups has increased threefold. Prime Minister Modi said, the expansion of self-help groups in India over the past decade has been remarkable. He said, these groups have rewritten the narrative of women empowerment in the country.
On the occasion, Mr. Modi felicitated Lakhpati Didis, who have achieved success with the support of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission and are supporting and motivating other Self-Help Group members for their upliftment. The Prime Minister also disbursed around eight thousand crore rupees in bank loans to Self Help Groups at subsidised interest rates through Bank Linkage Camps set up by Banks in each district.
Drone Didis of MP and Maharashtra to fly drones in program in Bhopal
More than a hundred women will fly drones in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh to give the message of women empowerment in India across the world.

Drone Didis of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will fly drones in the program organised in Bhopal. 89 drone Didis from Madhya Pradesh and around 60 from Maharashtra will participate in this unique event. These women will fly 102 drones simultaneously at the Indian Institute of Pulses Research Center located in Phanda, Bhopal.
This event will be held between 10 am to 12 pm. All these Drone Didis are trained by the Remote Pilot Training Organization. As per the information, all trend pilot drone Didis will be present at this event and will interact with the Prime Minister.
