Andhra Pradesh: BJP, TDP and Janasena parties finalized their alliance will contest upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections

Bharatiya Janata Party, Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party have decided to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections together in Andhra Pradesh.

In a joint press statement, BJP President JP Nadda, TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan said BJP’s coming together with TDP and JSP will help in achieving the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. The statement said the modalities of seat sharing will be deliberated within a day or two.

BJP and TDP have a very old relationship together. TDP joined NDA in 1996 and has worked together successfully in Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi governments. In 2014, the TDP and the BJP fought together the Lok Sabha election and the assembly election.
