WPL: Gujarat Giants register their first win of the tournament beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in New Delhi

In Cricket Women’s Premier League, Gujarat Giants beat Royal challengers Bangalore by 19 runs to register their first win after four defeats at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, yesterday.

Gujarat scored a challenging 199 for 5 and then restricted Bangalore to 180 for 8 in 20 overs. Opting to bat first, Gujarat posted a big target with the help of skipper Beth Mooney and Laura Wolvaardt put together 140 runs for the opening wicket.

Mooney made 85 not out while Wolvaardt scored 76 runs. Earlier, Gujarat led by Beth Mooney won the toss and chose to bat. Gujarat positioned at the bottom of the points table while Bangalore holds the second spot.
