IPE hosts ICSSR sponsored workshop on Data Protection & Localization Scheme on Feb 28 at its Shamirpet campus

Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) is delighted to announce an ICSSR-sponsored Workshop focused on “Data Protection and Localization.”  This workshop marks a significant milestone following the successful completion of the ICSSR-funded short-term Empirical Research Project titled “A Study on the Impact of the Digital Personal Data Protection Framework on National Security and Economic Development in India, with a Focus on Select South Indian States.”

The upcoming workshop aims to enhance awareness about the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, introduced by the Government of India on August 3, 2023.  Participants will explore how this legislation impacts data privacy, security, and economic growth.

Distinguished speakers, including Prof. S Sreenivasa Murthy (Director of IPE), Shri Ram Mohan (CEO of Meta Soft Solutions), Shri ADPT Chakradhar (Vice President of Max Life Insurance Co Ltd), Shri Bijjam Anji Reddy (Chief Branch Manager at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited), Shri Rajiv Gupta (Director of Company Solutions at Global Data), Prof. ML Sai Kumar (Professor and Former Dean of IPE), and Dr. KVK Santhy (NALSAR University of Law), will delve into the study theme.

Dr. A S Kalyana Kumar (Project Coordinator) will provide an overview of the research project, while Dr. Shaheen, Dr. S Vivek, and Dr. Rajkumar Pillay (Project Directors) will present key findings.
