Tennis: Sumit Nagal to face Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha in Men’s singles pre-quarters in Pune

In Pune Open Tennis, India’s rising sensation Sumit Nagal will face compatriot Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha in the Men’s singles pre-quarters at the Mahalunge Balewadi Tennis Stadium in Pune today.

The match will start at 5 PM, IST. In the round of 32, Nagal defeated Yu Hsiou Hsu of Taiwan by 7-6, 6-4, while Pooncha defeated Goncalo Oliveira of Portugal by 6-3, 6-7, 7-6.

In other matches, India’s R. Ramanathan will face Alexis Zakharov of Russia in the pre-quarters at 1.20 PM today. Earlier yesterday, India’s S Mukund entered the men’s singles Quarters, defeating the British player Felix Gill by 6-1, 6-0.
