CBI raids premises of former J&K Governor Satyapal Malik for alleged corruption in Hydroelectric project contract
The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI conducted raids at the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik in connection with alleged corruption linked to the awarding of a Kiru Hydroelectric project contract in the Union Territory.
As part of the investigation, the Agency also conducted searches at several other places on Thursday. Last month, the investigating agency conducted searches at eight locations in Delhi and Jammu in connection with alleged corruption in the awarding of civil works of the power project.
The Jammu and Kashmir government in 2022 had asked for a CBI probe in the matter. The investigation pertains to the allegations of malpractices in the award of the contract worth approximately two thousand 200 crore rupees.
